Richmond Hill, Ontario - April 5, 1999: TBS Software Inc. announces availability of its MIGRA/PS-Export for the Microsoft Exchange Migration Wizard. MIGRA/PS-Export allows customers of IBM OfficeVision/MVS, an e-mail system for which Microsoft does not provide migration tools, to easily migrate user definitions, electronic mail and calendaring data to Microsoft Exchange Server.
Information stored in OfficeVision Directories, In-Baskets, File Cabinets and Calendars represents years of investment and is vital to the continued smooth operation of the customer's business. Migrating OfficeVision users without a specialized migration tool is tedious. Users have to disrupt their work to manually migrate a copy of each item they want to keep. And the administrator must define all migrating users to Exchange, delete old users and their mail from OfficeVision, update directories, and notify everyone of the migrating users' new addresses. No one needs this extra work. Users want the migration to be transparent. Administrators want it to be a simple, smooth operation. MIGRA/PS-Export is the solution.
MIGRA/PS-Export together with the Microsoft Exchange Migration Wizard:
- define migrating users to Exchange
- simplify migrations by leading administrators through the migration process
- let administrators migrate one user or group of users at a time
- estimate how much space migrated data will occupy at the destination, before starting a migration
- reduce the volume of mail to be migrated by letting administrators pick exactly what to export
- handle all the types of Personal Services directory information that you need to migrate: user definitions, distribution lists, nicknames and other personal address book information
- export users' mail and file it away on their behalf at the destination
- track all migrating users and mail, to ensure that nothing gets lost
- notify users that they have been migrated

- IBM TCP/IP for MVS or equivalent (for FTP file transfer)
- APPC Application Suite (for AFTP file transfer) is included in VTAM starting with Version 4
- requires C/370 Library Version 2 Release 2 or LE/370 Version 1.3 or greater
- VS COBOL II Library or LE/370 Version 1.3 or greater
- DISOSS Version 3, Release 4 OR Icom Solutions Ltd.'s OfficePath/SNADS (for mail rerouting only.)
In addition, MIGRA can coexist with Icom Solutions' OV/Re-router.
MIGRA/PS-Export for Microsoft Exchange Migration Wizard is licensed for a fee that depends on the number of users to be migrated. This fee includes a perpetual license to use the software and one year of maintenance and support services. Additional annual maintenance and support contracts are available.
